Achieved Goals and Overcoming Challenges
In this talk a brief retrospective of the work carried out by the Thematic Line Geometrix during 2016 as well as the guide lines and principles and objectives for 2017 in order to fulfill the goals set forth for the period from 2015 to 2020, will be given.
Special emphasis will be set to: (1) the digital environment LEMA (Learning Environment on Mathematics for Autistic Children) namely, with regard to the incorporation of, among others, game-design elements and game-principles in non-game contexts, and tutorial feedbacks providing step by step methods for problem solving; (2) the creation of GeoGebra tools, for spherical geometry, to perform tasks of exploratory nature; (3) NIM Game's development as an Android mobile application. First analysis steps of NIM's users usage data having in account the identification of user learning patterns through statistical analysis; and (4) production of the board game CMAT for Ovar Council.
